When I saw the cape on the Spawn Classics Series Spawn I knew what had to be done. I waited for the re-release of the figure – they re-sculpted the bent leg which made thing a lot easier.
The body had a number of details that needed to be Dremeled smooth, including arm chains, spikes, leg armor, and most of the chest insignia. Several body parts were completely useless to create Batman. His right arm was removed at the elbow and replaces with the arm of a wrestling figure. Both his lower legs were removed and replaced with the legs of a LOTDK Azrael figure. It took a bit of trial and error to get the legs positioned so he would stand naturally.

The Cape: My inspiration for the figure, the cape did need a bit of work. First, I did not want to pose Bats with his cape pulled across his chest. I soon noticed his arm could be positioned in a great pre-batarang-throw position. So I cut off the chunk of the cape that stretched across his body. I actually bought two of these figures to complete this custom, so I glued a piece from the second cape to the figures left side to fill out the cape. I also cut off Spawns collar.

Spawns head is still under there. I created a cowl out of Sculpey and even had to add a lower lip. Batman's belt belt was created from the pouch belts of a 5" WWII soldier figure I found at TRU (Sorry, their name escapes me). His buckle is cut styrene. Sculpey was used to turn the remnants of Spawn's chest insignia into an impressive Bat insignia.

A final touch of a batarang was added with sheet styrene. True to most McFarlane toys, this figure has very limited mobility, But the sculpt makes for an impressive figure nonetheless.
