I was going to do a very on model version of Ralph Hinkley's alter ego, when the similarities of this character's origin and that of Hal's become very apparent to me. Both are approached by aliens to be a defender of the planet Earth. Both are given a mystical thing to wear that grants them super powers. Made me wonder what would have happened if Hal was approached by different little green men. Thus my version of Hal as the Greatest American Hero!

Oh, by the way, This is a simple repaint of a DC Direct Hal Jordan with a DC 7" Batman cape. The belt is cut styrene and a thumbtack. This is actually a pretty cool costume when a goofball with a blonde afro isn't inside it.
