WEDDING EXHIBIT: SUMMER 2010

Pickard House

This summer the Ripon Historical Society has created an exhibit of historic wedding gowns worn by Ripon brides from the 1880s to the 1930s. The Society has almost two dozen wedding gowns and related dresses in its collection, some dating back over 150 years. The gowns on display show some of the changes in wedding attire in the past 130 years, most notably the movement from colored fabric to white.

The Archives


Archivist Nedra Martz mounted an archives display of books, documents, and photos as part of the wedding exhibit.

Brian Wood and Tony Frommelt have recently donated items of great significance in Ripon's history and spent many hours redecorating.
