        My name is Carol Jacobson Baker and I am the coordinator of this site.  I am interested in Colfax Township because my ancestors--the Busch, Jacobson, Lintemuth, Loll, and Martz families--settled in Colfax Township in the late 1800s and many descendents still live there today.  As coordinator, my goal is to provide information that will help us trace our family roots and learn about what life was like for our ancestors in Colfax Township.  My first project, an extraction of the 1890 Colfax Tax Rolls, is now completed.  If you have suggestions or would like to help add to this site, please contact me.  Presently, I do not live in Mecosta County and cannot assist with local research.
