Sammis Information
Enter at the Goose Run Gate. Exit by the Goose Run Gate.
All loads, in-coming and out-going, must be tarped.
All ash loads must have winders on.
The maximum weight allowed for semi's is 80,000 pounds. Different weights apply to straight trucks. Do not try to haul more than you are allowed from the plant. Dump excess in appropriate location.
You must have a badge to enter and operate the scales.
Do not rub the rails on the scales.
There will be a facilitator to direct you to the silos. This person is in-charge. If you have any problems, contact this person.
All trucks are to weigh on the Sammis scales and the Redbud scales every trip, inbound and outbound.
While loading, be careful that the ash goes into the truck and not on the ground. If it spills on the ground, clean it up. You can wash it into the drain using the water hoses. If you need help, contact the yard person.
If you see a cone or any other object that keeps you from entering an ash silo, do not enter. Stay out until you are told by the facilitator to unload that silo. If you have a question about a silo, do not enter until you have asked the facilitator.
Night shift trucks are to call and let us know if they are not coming in to work or if they are leaving early.
