Name of Fish Farm: Yong-Xing Koi Farm.

 

Mr. Fu is the first generation koi breeder in Taiwan koi society. His son is the second generation.

1st generation: 1951 to 1970, only 3 fish breeders in Taiwan and for domestic business.

2nd generation: 1971 to 1990, about 50 breeders in Taiwan.

3rd generation: 1991 to now, about 40 breeder in Taiwan.

 

The 1st generation koi breeders are Mr. Sheng-Xiong Hsu, Mr. Shuang-Liang Fu, and Mr. Zhen-Rong Yang, and one koi trader is Mr. Mao-Lin Cai.

Mr. Hsu is the first and only koi breeder in Taiwan koi history. His koi farm is the place of Mr. Fu now.

 Mr. Hsu had two apprentices, one is Shuang-Liang Fu and the other one is Zhen-Rong Yang. Because they all cannot speak English and can Japanese only, their koi is for domestic market only. Until a koi lover exist, this person is Mr. Mao-Lin Cai. Mr. Cai linked up with some koi lovers and Mr. Hsu to built up the Nishikigoi Keepers Society of China (NKSC). Mr. Cai is a dentist, so people call him Doctor Cai. Because he was only person can speak English, he become the one and only koi exporter in Taiwan and many international koi buyers know his name.

 

When Mr. Hsu retire, Mr. Fu succeed his koi farm in North Taiwan and Mr. Yang succeed his koi farm in South Taiwan.

Mr. Fu koi farm is named Yong-Xing Koi Farm and Mr. Yang koi farm is named Jiang-Jun Koi Farm.

Yong-Sing Koi Farm: 198,348 square meter (49 acres), it is the biggest koi farm in North Taiwan and in whole Taiwan.

Jian-Jun Koi Farm: 178,513 square meter (44 acres), it is the second big koi farm in South Taiwan and the third big in whole Taiwan.

 

Yong-Sing Koi Farm: 30 to 40 times breeding, 6 to 8 million koi fry per year;

after 3 times culling procedure, 100 to 200 thousand koi can keep for sale (above B grade).

 

Jian-Jun Koi Farm: 20 to 25 times breeding, 4 to 5 million koi fry per year;

after 5 times culling procedure, 10 to 20 thousand koi can keep for sale (above A grade).

 

Yong-Sing Koi Farm: their fish fry and koi provide for over 15 North koi breeders.

Jian-Jun Koi Farm: their fish fry and koi provide for over 20 South koi breeders.
