Open houses are held twice a year, Christmas and
summer.
New exhibits are featured at each open house. Only Pickard House is open in
December,
but in the summer Pedrick-Lawson House and the Barn are also open and the
historic gardens are in bloom.

Summer Open House June 15, 2008 (Fathers' Day), 1:00 until 4:00 PM

The summer open house is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2008. Visitors may explore all three buildings--Pickard House, Pedrick/Lawson House, and the Barn. This is the only time of year the barn and Pedrick/Lawson House are open to the public as they aren't heated during the winter. The historic gardens are also featured during the summer open house. The gardens are maintained by several volunteer gardeners, each of whom has adopted a specific garden.

Christmas Open House |
Our Christmas open house is usually a part of Ripon’s annual Dickens of a Christmas weekend celebration. Pickard House is decorated for the holidays, and it's different each year. Come alone or bring family and friends to enjoy the music, refreshments, and festive atmosphere.

Summer Guided Tours Every Sunday

Our summer Sunday afternoon guided tours differ from our open houses in that a docent actually walks through the properties and gardens with small groups of guests, pointing out specific items of historic interest. These tours are open to the public from 2-4 PM every Sunday during June, July, and August on a walk-in basis. No reservations are needed.
To arrange a group tour at a different time, call Joyce Rudolph at the Society weekday mornings at 748-5354.
Regular Programs
Regular programs, unless otherwise noted, are
held on the third Thursdays of
March, April, May, September, October, and November
at 7:00 P. M. in the Society meeting room at 508 Watson Street.
Our programs are open to the general public and suitable for all ages.
