The Finn-Goesler Wedding Photo |
|
Introduction - Background - BBC Cast - PBS Cast - Snaps |
The four slip-cases in the first set of 'The Pallisers' videos combine to form a snap ['photograph'] of the Finn-Goesler wedding. Plantagenet and Glencora are in the back row, on the right.
The wedding of Phineas Finn and Marie Goesler - ostensibly at a church near 'Matching'- was actually photographed in front of the Chapel of St Mary on the grounds of Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England. Sudeley Castle, the Chapel and gardens (where the Duke of Omnium and Gatherum made 'advances' toward Madame Max) are open to the public! Although the state rooms - where the interior scenes at 'Matching' were filmed - are private quarters and, as such, not open for tours, the medieval apartments which can be toured along with the chapel, grounds and gardens make for an enjoyable visit.
