For fans of Sherlock Holmes, no visit to London is complete with seeing the Sherlock Holmes Museum located on Baker Street off Marylebone Road (Tube station: Baker Street.)
The Sherlock Holmes Pub (another link) is on Northumberland (London, WC2) near Trafalgar Square. Be sure to make reservations for their first floor [on the other side of the pond, we would call it the second floor] dining room where their Holmes museum is located.
Back in 1992, the Granada Television Studio Tour (sadly, now closed) in Manchester, England included the 'Sherlock Holmes' Experience' on the actual set of Baker Street used in their television series. You could even have your photo taken in front of the door to Granada's 221B Baker Street.
The production of the series ended with the passing of Jeremy Brett.
There is an episode guide to the Granada Television series with Jeremy Brett as the quintessential Sherlock Holmes. Most of the episodes are still available on video tape. See 'Our Favourite Videos' page for more information.
Those who are curious as to where the episodes of Granada's 'Sherlock Holmes' were filmed will want to check out our 'Not So Elementary List of Filming Locations'.
Admirers of the legendary detective will want to visit The Sherlock Holmes Society of London (Alternate Link). As The Society's web site says, "A 'must' for Sherlock Holmes fans everywhere". And, as the following web site says... Everything the web offers about Sherlock Holmes is here.
