The motto of the Flying J Farm is:

“Restoring the Land, The Buildings, and The People.”

We believe that all of us are responsible to restore the environment in our part of the world. We are losing land to urban sprawl at an alarming rate. The Flying J Farm is dedicated to holding back the tide in this small part of the world. We also believe that some of our heritage can be seen in old buildings, old machines, and old ways of doing things when life was less complex and less stressful. Where we can, we are seeking to bring back a simpler lifestyle, using less energy than the current high tech style being promoted by the media. Last, we believe that people have lost touch with those things that are essential to preventing disease. We encourage a vegetarian diet based on mostly raw food. We do it for health reasons, rather than ethical reasons. We believe that humans are not well designed to digest animal products and many of our diseases result from this source of food. Further, we believe that meaningful relationships with family, community, and God are essential to thrive in harmony with each other and our environment.
